| Description | I need deep cleaning in a few key areas of the house. The basement (2 fairly good sized rooms) needs to be washed--walls, furniture, baseboards, etc etc etc with warm soapy water to remove the years of red dust that's accumulated from the dogs running in and out of the yard. Then I'll need that same furniture (some of it heavy!) moved around and put together, since it's currently piled up all crazy. Part of the couch needs to be carried in from the adjoining living room. The basement bathroom similarly needs to be washed top to bottom. I need someone to dust all the blinds in the house, and it might take wet washing some (not nearly all) of them. There are approximately 35 mini blinds and 5 windows with plantation shutters. I need someone to get up on a ladder (I have) and carefully wash the ceiling fans--tops of blades, glass bulb covers, and tops of all kitchen cabinets and windows because this same red dust has been collecting there too. |

| Sweeper Description | Attention to detail and the ability to tell when something is dirty and something is clean. I don't want to throw all 20-somethings under a bus here, but I have found from my personal experience and knowing a bunch of young adults in and around college age that one's ability to perceive dirt seems to improve with age. Just sayin'. And, we have a cleaning woman who comes every 2 weeks and does not touch this stuff. So...I need people who can be left on their own to do the jobs as described and will really power thru and get these things squeaky clean. AND I need someone (some two?) who can move heavy items at the end of the basement cleanup project. Specifically there is a wooden desk and an L shaped sectional couch that will need to be moved from another room and arranged. That's it really, a few empty bookcases and chairs and stuff are there too, but I can help with that. |
