| Description | This will be a strange day of moving. First, I have a friend who lives out in Alamance County who is going to give us her elliptical. It is full-sized apparently, very heavy, and she cannot find anyone to move it. So I would need to pay Sweepers from Chapel Hill/Carrboro to drive out to Alamance County, meet us, and help us get the elliptical out of her house and into our small truck. I really don't know lots about the stair situation at her house, but I think they will not have to negotiate too many steps with the heavy elliptical. I will be glad to pay IRS mileage rate for each of them as well, of course, as their driving and moving time. I would then need them to drive back to Chapel Hill to meet us at our house [obviously, still paying mileage rate] to unload it here. Second, I would also ask while they are here at our house that they move one large chest from upstairs to the downstairs and move a second large chest from downstairs upstairs. These are substantial pieces and we could be here to help them negotiate the stairs, but I need both of them to be strong and not unnerved by the size of things to move. I think it would be about an hour of driving time - half an hour out there to the house in Alamance County and half an hour back. I would estimate two hours of moving time - there at my friend's house and here back at our house. They would NOT need to provide a truck - we will drive out to Alamance County in ours and will then transport the elliptical back to Chapel Hill. I am assuming that because of the COVID-19 situation that it would be wise for them to travel separately. We will all be careful and wear masks the entire time. Our home, as far as we know, is COVID-19 free. |
