I'm a rising Junior at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro studying Communication Studies with a minor in history. I'm hoping to pursue a career in strategic communications such as advertising, or public relations. I'm a very creative person so being in a job where I can use those abilities along with critical thinking, writing, and speaking skills is also important to me. One of my deepest passions is encouraging men to be great Father's when they have children. In today's society, dad's are a lot of times overlooked, many of them don't know their purpose besides being the provider. I would like to encourage guys through advertising that being involved in your kids lives is important and don't take a backseat to parenting. History is also one of my favorite subjects and it's very important in my opinion that if we want to know the whole story about something we have to go back to the beginning. Not so that we can blame someone, but that we can understand it better.
I would definitely like to do a lot of moving. I've help out over a hundred people from school and work move out of their apartments, or dorm rooms into new places for the past two years. They often asked me, because they knew I was reliable and wouldn't bail on them at the last second.
I'm also able to provide cleaning services. Working in both the retail and restaurant industry maintaining a clean area is important for appearance, so people will want to shop in your store, but also for health reasons as well concerning restaurant sanitation laws.
I enjoy greatly participating in event's offering my contribution. Serving in the Career Services Center at UNCG has allowed me to set up numerous events with that on campus organization.
I've done my fair share of lawn work growing up so I'm up for anything now. I was the oldest boy in my house so my dad taught me as soon as he could how to mow the lawn.
In both the retail establishment s I've worked in I've had the chance to work in the stock room as a stock associate organizing the back of the store to suit the needs of the sales floor. Also while in the Career Services Center I've been able to organize appointments for students and set schedules for career counselors.
History and English are my two strongest subjects and have made excelling grades in both subjects since high school. I can also tutor in any media, or cultural courses.
I helped my family and friends paint their homes on the weekends multiple times and I'm still in their good graces.
Give me good directions and I can get it done.
I can run errands for people, babysit, or really anything if presented with the opportunity and proper instruction.
