I am a scholarship student for NC States Naval ROTC program. I am also a brother and founding father of Beta Theta Pi here at State.

Moving

I worked with Campus Carriers at UNC. We were responsible for properly moving boxes, mini-fridges, futons, lamps, etc. into trucks. We would then drive the trucks to a warehouse and unload it. We communicated with the customers and made sure all items would be treated properly.

Cleaning

I worked for AdvantaClean summer of 2015. They specialize in cleaning homes with the removal of mold and water damaged materials. They also clean air ducts and air conditioner handlers. While this is probably much more heavy duty than what the average customer is asking for, it shows my ability to clean as well as the responsibility I had to clean as an employee. Living off campus in a house, there is no one to clean the house except my housemates and me. We understand the importance of sweeping, mopping, and even dusting so that our air is clean.

Yard Work

Growing up in Connecticut, I became used to hot summers. I mowed my parent's lawn consistently as well as my neighbors lawn, which I was paid to do. Raking leaves was also a yearly necessity. Although uncommon here, I was very accustomed to shoveling snow in the long New England winters. I have planted new grass before, tilling the soil, laying seed, putting hay on top to keep the ground moist. I work well with physically demanding jobs.

Organizing

I worked for AdvantaClean summer of 2015. They are a company that specializes in removing mold, cleaning air ducts, dealing with water damage. As part of the job we would have to relocate people's things. Sometimes it would turn into us helping the homeowner de-clutter and reorganize their home. We would have to be careful with their things and put them back where they belonged when done. We had to pay careful attention to the homeowner and keep communication fluent.

Tutoring

I have an overall GPA of 3.666 at NC State. I was just recently hired by the school to privately tutor students in physics, and possibly calculus. I also have had tutors in the past and have taught guitar lessons. I am very familiar and comfortable with teaching.

Painting

Eight years ago, my family put an addition on our house. Since my sisters and I were old enough, my parents put us to work by having us paint the interiors of the rooms. I understand the use of sanding (to create a smooth surface and to remove old paint), priming, and multiple coats.
