I am an upcoming senior at UNC Chapel Hill and I consider myself to be a jack of all trades. I enjoy working with my hands and do not mind labor at all. One thing that I am very passionate about is running. I started running over a year ago to improve my health and it was tough at first, but I kept at it and I became good at it. I've placed in numerous 5Ks and 10Ks. I've also ran 100 miles in under 20 hours all on a bet.
I work as part of the shipping and receiving team for the Nike Factory Store.
My parents used to own a cleaning company for which I used to work for. I know how to clean efficiently and know what to use for what job. I have cleaned anything from a doctors office to a house after a party through the company.
When I was in community government, I was the athletic director for my community, therefore I had to budget and organize various events for the community such as tournaments, movie nights, and a final large event. I have learned many important skills through this role and have learned how to organize these types of events. As a Nike employee, we do various things in terms of community service and events, especially for younger children.
At my house, my parents have had a garden and a perfectly trimmed yard for as long as I can remember. It is one of the things that every man prides himself on and I have definitely acquired the skills to keep up with a yard.
My job at the Nike factory store requires a high level of organization as I have to place, in a systematic way, thousands of products in the stockroom and know how to get to them. If the organization of the stockroom fails than the product cannot be delivered to the consumer and the company loses money. I have gained various organization skills through my experiences in college, especially with time, as I am involved with other volunteer programs and jobs.
As a peer mentor, I have tutored other students in subjects they have had issues with and I used to tutor elementary students in high school. I have gained the skill of patience and the ability to teach someone rather than get frustrated and quit.
I have painted two houses in my life and it is a tedious task of taping and other prep work. I am well-trained in it and I can paint well.
I believe myself to be a techie and I can help with any computer issue ranging from the inability to connect to wi-fi to setting up a new computer. I have basic knowledge of java code and I am proficient in Windows and Mac. I can also set-up Wi-fi, TV's, tablets, and troubleshoot.
I am very good with working on cars as well! I have moved an engine from one car to another, installed many radio systems, installed wheels and tires, changed brakes and brake pads, changed oil.
Akshar did a great job! He was on time, got right to work, and with his fellow sweeper got the job done quickly.
Really can't express how great both guys were! Efficient and upbeat. Couldn't have asked for better experience. Akshar has a great sense of humor.

Akshar was extremely helpful! When our moving job got too big he was happy to carry some of the most fragile things in his car. He even stayed extra to help change a flat tire!
